Podcast How To Turn Your Day Around!
Hey guys, it’s Lexi!
i’m here to share the 6 ways to turn your day around. many people say i am a very positive and happy person and never see me not smiling so i thought i’d share my tips and tricks to make you a more positive person
every day i live by “look good, feel good, do good” meaning if you take care of yourself you will feel good and do good…here are my secrets
First off what is bothering you? Will it really bother you a week from now or even 2 hours from now? A lot of the time people don’t realize how petty things are and allow it to eat at them. But if it does still bother you figure out the best possible way to resolve the issue. if it’s talking to that one friend who is always rude to you or apologizing to somebody even if it was there fault. life is a lot easier when your the bigger person and stay away from the immature drama!
second, try realize all the good things in your life! Look at the new promotion you got or the compliment on those expensive pair of boots you bought, you knew it was gonna worth it!
if trying to think differently isn’t working go do something. Go for a drive and put on your favorite song on max volume and just jam... easiest stress reliever
try and stay off social media, sometimes we subconsciously get negative thoughts and feelings after seeing that skinny, tan, blonde girl eating a burger and fries with her super hot boyfriend only sometimes were jealous of her perfect life right?
get organized alot of the time we don't feel good because we are just so miscombobulated...get your life together! plan out your week when your working, when you should work on your science project
eat a good breakfast, you know science has proven that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! don’t starve yourself so that you can fit in those shorty shorts for spring break!

Kardashian's Know It Best
The Kardashian's make it look easy!!!
The infamous Kardashian/ Jenner family continues to be in the headlines and the topic of discussion...from Kylie's new instagram pic or Khloe's amazing new go-to workouts. We all know whats going on in their lives.
The Kardashian family has social media on lock!! Khloe now has her own talk show "Kocktails with Khloe" after over tens seasons of "Keeping up with the Kardashian's" and the seasonal " Kourtney and Khloe take The Hamptons", "Kourtney and Kim take Miami" and "Kourtney and Kim take New York" we still havn't lost interest in their crazy and dramatic lives.
Kylie and Kendall grew up in fame, the only thing they know is social media and television and branding themselves with it.
Socia media allows for this family to be the topic of conversation and have people invested in their lives. Now that Khloe is blonde and looking better then ever don't you feel you want to do the same thing?! By Khloe publicizing her life she makes it look like the best trend. Many people connect with the Kardashian/ Jenner girls because they are all about beauty, fun and drama and who doesn't love drama?!

The older Kardashian sister's have always branded themselves as the three Kardashian sisters however, with the ability that social media gives with sharing individual thoughts and ideas to their specific fan base, they can now branch off as their own people. They live three very different lives, with Kourtney balancing her three kids and on-and-off boyfriend Scott, Kim starting her new life with Kanye West and two kids and last but not least Khloe turning her life in a positive direction working on herself and helping hubby Lamar get well.

How Social Media is Taking Over
Social media is one the best tools for marketing. Everybody has some sort of connection to social media, if its having a Facebook account, managing your stores Instagram page or even keeping up with CNN updates on Twitter. It is easier then ever now to use social media to connect and share thoughts. Using social media to connect with others is other words helps "build relationships that get richer and stronger" (Falling in Love 2.0) The article also states that for a long time marketing was only one way and that was verbally, or on television, now we can create pages on Instagram full of pictures, or a quick sentences on Twitter to spread news.
In the year 2016, we see how vast technology and social media has changed, and its not slowing down anytime soon. We can walk down the street and see multiple people have their iPhones in their hands or apple watches on their wrists, even laptops in class of people scrolling through social media. The instant access to social media is key to todays appeal. "Statistics show that nearly 1 in every 5 minutes spent online is on some type of social media network" (http://www.brandignity.com/2011/03/4-reasons-why-social-media-is-more-important-than-ever/)
I don't even know anybody now who doesn't have their phone on them at all times.
People like that "warm and fuzzy feeling" when they are part of a community, and the easiest way to be part of one, is through social media. When people see that companies care to take the time to have social media and make the space for customers to give feedback they want to join and keep up with it. People like branding, they like to see things straight forward and given right to them. Being able to connect so quickly saves time and energy and in this generation instant is a lot a mandatory thing.

- LinkedIn Do you have any of these? At least one or two?!
Being connected can help open so many doors!! For example LinkedIn, I can "connect" with whoever if its my previous boss from my last job, my high school best friend or even my college professor. I can post a status saying i'm looking for a job in Westfield during the summer, and the people i'm connected with can respond saying I know somebody who is working in Westfield here's their email. And done. I have gotten a contact to help me get my summer job.
My mom Trish, has her own company called Masked Media, she helps companies with their social media and make sure they are marketing themselves appropriately. She has been developing marketing ideas and social media pages for years. She is very successful and is managing many businesses at once. She knows what people like to see, and how to capture the attention from any audience. Social media isn't as easy as it looks, you must know who your trying to attract, what age group, what region of the country, etc. You need to think of color, size, font for your information to be displayed. Since social media has changed the marketing world, the question that everybody has to think of is, what is going to make me stand out from somebody else?
One of the business's my mom works with is ULIVjava which Martha Stewart actually owns she not only has to keep up with their websites and update their twitter, instagram, and Facebook pages but she has to go to events and get the word around about ULIVjava.

This icon of Westfield describes me because not only am I just a student here, I am work here. I work in the advising center, to help students build their schedules. I live at Westfield for about 6 months out of the year, this gives me a lot of time to grow up and become my own person. Westfield has made me who am I today, an independent and motived person.
